I don’t know if anyone loves color as much as I do, so when I started designing our Color Shift pattern collection it made my soul happy. There is nothing more inspiring to me than a beautiful color palette swashed through an entire garment. The Color Shift pattern collection is our love letter to color and all things bright, bold, and diverse.
The best part about these patterns are that most of them include our gradient yarns! Making it so easy to create these beautiful color schemes. To add a splash of color to your day check out a few of my favorite patterns from this collection.
Gradient Pullover
The Gradient Pullover is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up, with a set in sleeve. Yarn is held double throughout, changing colors one strand at a time for a gradient effect. Break out the straight needles for this super traditional sweater that proves you don’t need elaborate innovation to make a statement. Knit in the beautiful Anna, and Sophia Alpaca Cloud colorway this blue and cream looks beautiful on anyone!
Gradience Shawl
This pattern includes two gradient yarns from our Stroll Gradient collection Lifeguard, and Pet Rock. Starting with a fiery red-orange, Lifeguard transitions into a light magenta and then into a deeper wine color, before ending in coal black. Paired with the Pet Rock a classic neutral collection of a soft dove gray, a stormy gray, and an inky black. The Gradience Shawl is a classic triangular shape knit from the top down, in these colorways its sure to add a splash of color to your wardrobe.
Motley Entrelac Blanket
This pattern is for all you Chroma Twist lovers!!! The Motley Entrelac Blanket includes the beautiful Lupine, and Get Your Neon colorways. Bring out your inner jester with an eye-catching combination of contrasting brilliance. Entrelac is one of those techniques that is far easier to work than the impressive result suggests, and that goes double for this two color version, which only works one color at a time. Use all your favorite colors all at once to make the best of this fun and interesting skill.
Barnsdall Cardi
Our beautiful cover garment the Barnsdall Cardi is one I think I could wear everyday! Knit with the Stroll Gradient Sea You Later colorway, this is the gorgeous gradient garment you’ve been gasping for. Solid stripes set off automatic color transitions. This pattern precisely matches gradient color changes across the body and both sleeves, ensuring a look of seamless ombre perfection.
If you are a color lover like myself I hope I have inspired you to pick up the Color Shift pattern book, and a few skeins of our beautiful gradient yarns. I promise you will get a bunch of jaw dropping comments with these colorways and garments.
