Happy October! I would say without a doubt that October is a favorite month among the staff at Knit Picks. The weather has a nice crispness to it before the dreary winter rain of the Pacific Northwest starts up again. Not to mention Halloween! But mainly it’s because it’s time to start on cooler weather projects like sweaters and scarfs. Each decade provides its own iconic color palette that when you see it years later, it gives you that fantastic nostalgia of a time that seemed so awesome. Like a few of us here in the office, I’m a child of the 80s (and a little bit 90s), and the color palette that throws me back into my childhood in California is definitely neon.

In my neighborhood, we have several crows (or a murder if you will) who enjoy out in our large trees – teasing squirrels seems to be their hobby. I like to call them my friends (I’ll throw some peanuts out to them if I see them) because crows are my favorite birds. So I was extremely excited when we received the new member of the Scrub-A-Dub club, the adorable Bird on a Wire Dishcloth.
