Lace knitting in particular has a certain mystique, with fabled,almost esoteric traditions with origins shrouded in mystic legendry. Flipping or clicking through Luxurious Lace in particular, you might have seen references to various traditions. Though adapted to modern tools and methods, when you work these and other patterns you are participating in a tradition. Shawls for All, our new mix-and-match shawl collection, has been something of a pet project for a few people around Knit Picks, and we really think that Joyce Fassbender, the brains behind the collection, has really given us something special.
