I’ve noticed on some of the message boards that a few of you have completed your handmade gifts for this holiday season. Me too! I made 3 things. I mean, I made a lot more, but in 3 different categories. Check it out!
Well folks, we made it! Welcome to our very last installment in our free pattern series: Twelve Weeks of Gifting. I love toggle closures. Sure, they’re a bit heavier than buttons, but they’re such an easy, un-fussy, and secure closure for handmade items. Recently, I sewed my daughters some coats and used toggles from Knit Picks, and they get as many, if not more, compliments (and inquiries) than the coats themselves! For Lulu’s coat I used our Feather Toggle. Light and flat and really stylish, it’s added a little something special to the outside of her coat. Since the coat is lined with Liberty flowers, too, I like that the toggles reflect what’s going on in the interior of the coat.
