Reverie In Bloom

As the jury duty continues, I’ve been getting more practice in with my crochet hooks! I wanted a simple project that I could pretty easily pick up and put down between sessions, and I also wanted a chance to try working with Reverie ever since I saw Jenny’s delightful Francis Revisted sweater. I found Brittney Waterhouse’s In Bloom Beret and Cap pattern and thought it looked like the perfect project for Reverie.

This project took me just a few hours from start to finish and I love how soft the fabric turned out! This hat is both soft and light while being dense enough to keep my ears toasty on my way into town each morning. I especially like the single crochet stitch brim and I think I might try to make a quick cowl using the stitch next week in Hawk. I think this is my new go-to gift pattern when I need something quick that looks like the hats I’ve seen in the small boutiques downtown!
