And to help spark your inspiration – I’ve put together a few palettes in some of my favorite yarns using colors that are part of our HUGE summer yarn sale.

Stroll Fingering (up to 35% off)

I just love this bright and cheerful color palette! It reminds me of my childhood, which was filled with Jem and the Holograms, My Little Ponies and hours spent making drawings with my Spirograph – only this time, there’s a touch of grey added in to represent my adulthood staple shade: grey.

A Year of Crafting in Public

kinpub4

I know it’s officially Craft (Knit) in Public Week but you can find me doing something crafty while I’m out and about every day, 365 days out of the year so why limit myself to one week!? Unfortunately I don’t always have someone along with me to document my craftitude so I thought I’d share some of my favorite craft selfies in honor of my favorite week!

Firefly Dishcloth

In my mind, it’s Spring and I’m preparing for a long camping season here in the Pacific Northwest. At the campsite, I sit by the fire, turning my foil-wrapped potato on a stick and stirring my pot of baked beans slowly, relaxing with my husband and kids. After dinner, I wash the pots and pans with homemade dishcloths inspired by my surroundings.
