So have you seen our purty new yarn Lindy Chain?
I love this yarn! Before we got it, I’d never used chainette yarn so I was little dubious, but we all had a lot of fun playing with it.
It’s heeeerreeee! Our Summer Yarn Sale has officially kicked into high gear and this year, we have over 700 yarns up to 50% off! Whether you are looking to (finally!) knit something for yourself, looking to replenish a bit of your stash, or you just want to get an early start on gift knitting – our summer yarn sale is the perfect excuse to indulge in a few of your favorite fibers and shades.
And to help spark your inspiration – I’ve put together a few palettes in some of my favorite yarns using colors that are part of our HUGE summer yarn sale.
I just love this bright and cheerful color palette! It reminds me of my childhood, which was filled with Jem and the Holograms, My Little Ponies and hours spent making drawings with my Spirograph – only this time, there’s a touch of grey added in to represent my adulthood staple shade: grey.
This is a simple washcloth (just single crochet all the way!) with a cute little cloud appliqued on at the end. You can make as many clouds as you’d like, same goes for the raindrops because they take so little yarn to make. Rain or shine, this dishcloth will get the job done, with extra points for cuteness! I know it’s officially Craft (Knit) in Public Week but you can find me doing something crafty while I’m out and about every day, 365 days out of the year so why limit myself to one week!? Unfortunately I don’t always have someone along with me to document my craftitude so I thought I’d share some of my favorite craft selfies in honor of my favorite week!
In my mind, it’s Spring and I’m preparing for a long camping season here in the Pacific Northwest. At the campsite, I sit by the fire, turning my foil-wrapped potato on a stick and stirring my pot of baked beans slowly, relaxing with my husband and kids. After dinner, I wash the pots and pans with homemade dishcloths inspired by my surroundings.
Craft in Public week starts on Saturday!
(Ok, so it’s officially called Knit In Public but we here at Knit Picks all here do all sorts of crafts out in public so we prefer our term. We like to be all inclusive!)
It runs from June 14 though June 22nd – so lots of time to show off your crafty selves! To be honest, I’m always knitting or crocheting in public so it’s fun to have a week to celebrate it.
