Lace Tip of the Week with Geoff Hunnicut

Are you new to lace knitting? Is this the summer you try it out? Over the next few weeks, we’re featuring tips on lace knitting from designer Geoff Hunnicut. This week, Geoff takes you through a lace chart, and compares it to the knitted piece it produces. He’ll let you know why he thinks charts are preferable to written instructions, for knitting lace.

Do you have any tips for lace knitting to share with other knitters that want to try lace for the first time? We’d love to hear your tips and tricks in the comments below! And be sure to check back next week for more helpful hints for lace knitting with Geoff.

That wasn’t really a tip. It was a “kudos” to lace charts. 😀

These are lovely patterns! What a shame that I cannot purchase and download this ebook because I am not in the US or Canada. I really can’t understand why you block overseas customers from downloading electronic patterns and books.

Hi Olga! If you call our Customer Service Department they might be able to help you purchase and download the pattern no matter where you are. We’re so glad you like them!
