This time of year, I always start stressing out over gifts I want to make for the holidays – I, like many knitters I know, love to make handmade gifts for loved ones. But around the end of October, I discover my time management skills are pretty poor and there’s no way I can make elaborate cabled sweaters for everyone on my list so I start looking for smaller items to knit. Well, thank goodness for the new Holla Knits Accessories eBook – 6 little patterns that I’m sure will work for several people on my list!
Since my one of my nieces loves anything sparkly, I’m thinking The Knight Service Shrug will be perfect for her.
This cute little shrug by Teresa Gregorio (aka canarysanctuary) is super cute & quick, even with the beads. This version in Gloss DK, which would also give it a little bit of shimmer from the silk but enough warmth from the wool so she can wear them over a tank or a tee.
She (like me actually) wears her bag slung across her body. And I love the colorwork! Plus since it uses Brava Sport she can beat it up without ruining it
I’m thinking a good friend of mine would love the Black Swan Top by Tara Shade
I think it would be a fun top to wear when going out for our Girls Night. Since it’s in Biggo, it’ll be a quick knit – and something that will keep her warm.
I have another friend who loves anything kitschy so I’m thinking the Snowball Bonnet by Anna Elliott for sure.
I think she would absolutely love the crazy loop stitch and the big fun pompoms!
I love the stitch pattern on this – it looks so fun! And having a clutch big enough to fit my tablet would be great. I won’t be starting this until January 1, just so I can get all my gifts finished and out of the way. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have to stop thinking about it. Hmm, what colors Stroll Sport should I use?
