gift knitting spree

This fall and winter, almost every project I cast on was one I intended to give away. That makes for thoughtful gifts and happy recipients, but not much blog fodder until the gifts have been given!

Here’s a quick recap of my gifty F.O.’s from the last few months:

Dishcloths for Mom
Yarn: Simply Cotton
Patterns: Hearts: Big and Small by Knitted Kitty (Ravelry link) & Heart Dishcloth by Darilyn Page (Ravelry link)

Last Minute Mitts for my soon-to-be brother-in-law
Yarn: Comfy Worsted Fedora
No pattern, I improvised these

Super Quick Yoga Socks for my sister’s birthday
Yarn: Comfy Worsted Blackberry double stranded with some mystery yarn from a swap
I started with a pattern, but quickly ended up seriously changing course because I wanted to knit them in the round and the pattern called for seaming!

Citrus-y hat for my boyfriend
Yarn: If this yarn looks familiar, it’s because I finally knit up my Kool-Aid dyed sock blanks!

Pattern: Marram hat by Mimi Hill (free pattern on Ravelry)
I actually need to add a couple inches to the brim because as you can see, the hat fits me and it’s a little short on him. Problem is, I’m out of the hand dyed yarn, do you think there’s a color in Stroll that won’t clash or should I go with Bare
