Free Pattern: Granny’s Rainbow Dishcloth

We are officially a quarter of the way through our 52 Weeks of Dishcloths program! Have you been following along this year for 2015? We are so excited to have some of our favorite independent designers create these fun freebie patterns for us.

This week’s free pattern, Granny’s Rainbow Dishcloth, comes from designer Beth Major – she designed a classic granny square with a colorful rainbow twist that works up quickly and is great for using up those yarn odds and ends. It’s also a great pattern if you are new crochet and want some instant gratification.

We just love the happy rainbow of shades that radiate from the center outward. If you’re looking for a more subtle design, try alternating two colors throughout the dishcloth or you could make a set of dishcloths in 2-3 solid colors.

Cotlin cotton and linen yarn

This dishcloth is worked up in CotLin DK – a lovely blend of cotton and linen that just gets softer with every wash while staying nice and sturdy. And although these patterns are designed for the kitchen, there’s no reason you can’t use these are a face cloth or spa cloth- just knit and crochet a few and keep a small stack in your bathroom!
