Felici Favorites are here

In June, I asked for your nominations for Felici Favorites, your all time favorite colorways of our Felici self-striping yarn. I was overwhelemed by the number of responses I got!! It took a long time to look through all the comments here and in the KP Lovers Group on Ravelry (Ravelry link), but based on your suggestions and our sales data for Felici, we narrowed it down to 9 colors and placed our order. And now they’re here!! Thank you so much for helping us make this tough decision.

Like all of our Felici offerings, we had to buy this yarn in limited
quantities, so if one of your favorites is back, be sure to stock up now
before they sell out. Since these were a re-order, the colorways are
exactly the same the as the originals, but like any yarn line, there
might be slight differences since these are obviously a different dye
lot.

I don’t really enjoy knitting socks, but I love a lot of our fingering weight yarns, especially Felici and Glimmer, so I’ve been on the lookout for patterns other than socks that I could use with Felici Favorites. I personally like Marsh and Firefighter the best. These are some of the patterns I’m thinking of adding to my queue.

I have quite a few baby showers coming up, and I think this quick knit in Firefighter would be super cute for a little boy.

I also think the Agate Capelet looks like a fun knit. It was designed with two alternating shades of Felici, and it’d be interesting to watch how the two different colors interact as you knit. I think Tyrian Purple and Moonlit might look cool together.

Okay, I have to admit that this feels like cheating, but my excuse is that I’m pretty new to colorwork. I LOVE Kerin’s designs for the bright Woodland Winter Mittens, but I’m a little intimidated by all those color changes, and I like my mittens to be machine washable.

Now that the pattern is available as a download in addition to in the kit, I’m thinking of taking Felici in Rainbow and a solid Stroll color like Black or Midnight Heather and letting Felici do all the color changes for me. I’ll get smaller stripes than Kerin’s and more color repeats, but I think it’ll look nice. Is that too sneaky? I bet it would work with Chroma too, but then my mittens wouldn’t be machine washable anymore, so I’m eyeballing Felici.

What are you going to make with Felici?
