Dancing Shells Crocheted Dishcloth

Creating the dishcloth patterns over the last 10 months for the 52 Weeks of Dishcloths has been fun and a challenge for me. I decided experiment with new stitches whether it be knit or crochet. I also have always loved texture, especially 3D texture. The Dancing Shells Dishcloth, made with Dishie, was the perfect choice for a new look in crochet!

Chroma Granny Stripe Crochet Cowl

I LOVE taking two radically different Chroma colors, pairing them up and then working stripes until both skeins run out. I especially like how Chroma looks in a Granny crochet stitch, each little 3dc cluster is a slightly different color from the last and the gradual fade between colors is wonderfully mesmerizing.

Junior, The Cloud Pillow

During the book sale, I reviewed the book Amigurumi at Home by Ana Paula Rimoli. I toiled over which pattern I would crochet - the teacup rug, the tooth pillow, the dog or cat footwarmers? In the end, the pattern I chose wasn't any of the projects I highlighted in that post. I made a cloud pillow, and I named him Junior. Made in all single crochet, he was the fastest and most fun project I've made in quite some time.

Ebb + Flow Dishcloth Crochet Pattern

I love combining unique stripes and textures with bold colors. And the Ebb + Flow Dishcloth allowed me to do both beautifully! This easy to memorize dishcloth crochet pattern is wonderful for a quick weekend project. It combines single crochet with intervals of crossed double crochet stitches to create a contracting and expanding effect.

Sherbet Dishcloth

The usually misty Pacific Northwest has been hit with a heat wave this last week, which is showing no sign of letting up. To deal with the unexpected dose of sunshine, a sherbet-inspired dish cloth was in order.
