Bracken Fingerless Mitts & Gloves

This week’s Freebie Friday pattern is by a favorite designer around the Knit Picks office – Kalurah Hudson!

These are her lovely Bracken Fingerless Mitts & Gloves!

The fingerless mitts part are knit in worsted weight and have a gorgeous cable design – the name Bracken is Old Norse for “Fern”.  Kalurah knit her version up in Gloss HW Cream but any of the Gloss HW colors would look gorgeous!

They can be worn alone or over the fine gauge gloves for a little extra warmth. The gloves are also included in the pattern!

These are knit up in fingering weight yarn – shown here in Palette but any of our fingering weight would work.  I would love a pair in Capretta actually!

Kalurah has been one of the most popular IDP designers since the program began.  Her Through the Woods Hood is still our all time best selling IDP pattern

It’s available both in knit & crochet!

Her Ireland Neck Warmer is still my favorite though.

And it’s an appropriate weekend to wear it!
