Read more »A few months back, I was working on a crocheted hat as part of some charity knitting I was doing. I said to one of my friends, this hat needs something. That’s when I learned how to do a ribbing in crochet. I love it! So when I went hunting for a pattern to use for this dishcloth, I ran into the basket weave pattern using the raised double crochet stitch that I used for the hat and thought perfect! I used Honeydew Dishie, which makes for a nice strong fabric.
I used to buy new clothing for myself intermittently. Then I had kids, and the wardrobe budget went straight to them. It’s so much more satisfying to buy things that look adorable on your favorite little people, even if they wear them for about two weeks before they outgrow them. I love pairing my favorite store-bought items with the children’s clothes I make. Here’s a few ways you can do the same, using items from our newest kid’s collection “Classic Knits for Kids”.
Projects have been flying off my needles lately! Between puttering in the garden and blowing through stacks of library books I’ve been clickty-clacking my needles together on some light weight projects, perfect for sunnier days.
