What We Are Thankful For This Year

Knit Picks Yarns

In anticipation of the holiday, we’ve all been thinking about what we are most thankful for. Here’s what is on our lists:

Elaine: I’m grateful for my new position here at Knit Picks, it’s a blessing to be able to come to work happy and creative every day. Also for my loving, supportive husband and our growing little family.

Stacey: After what has been a challenging year, I’m thankful that my family and I are all healthy with roofs over our heads and working at jobs we enjoy. On a lighter note, I’m also thankful I manged to wrangle tickets to see the musical Hamilton next spring. C’mon 2018!

Hannah: Nothing brings me more joy than making and gifting things to others! From my pups who tolerate handmade dog beds (barely) to coworkers who help me eat all the baked goods I bring in every week, I’m thankful to have all these lovely recipients in my life.

Alexis: It was a personally challenging year which, luckily, lead to a lot of positive outcomes. I’m thankful for all my friends and family that supported me through it with humor & hugs. And I’m extra thankful to have my best friend alive and well for lots more adventures in 2018 and beyond.

Daniel: A random list of things I am grateful for: soup, Star Trek, handmade ties, lap cats, unexpected snow, unexpected cookies, trees, road trip conversations, hiking in the rain, cheese, finding new favorite writers, and, of course, yarn.

Alison: I’m thankful for the amazing and talented Knit Picks staff who make it a joy to come to work every single day.

Jennifer: Well how cheesy can I be?! I’m thankful so many cliched things like a job I love (for reals, I’m not just saying that because it’s on the blog – I really LOVE my job) and a family that I adore, including my handsome husband and two rambunctious boys.  I’m also thankful for Horizon Organic Lowfat Eggnog. It’s the BEST.

Susie: Oh gosh! So many things: my sweet partner and the delicious meals he cooks for me, my cats (all 7 of them), hot toddies, pecan pie, Amy Sherman-Palladino, fruitful mushroom seasons, pizza, and of course, the folks who make my life better every day: my family, my friends, my coworkers.

Everyone is thankful for their jobs, and I know I’m not just speaking for myself when I write this, I’m thankful for Knit Picks too.

This company allows me to keep my favorite hobby despite my very tight fixed income and my disability. So thank you very much and enjoy the holiday with your families.
