Toasty Toes – Socks for All Seasons

Socks are my addiction. Throughout the year, I always have a pair on my needles, no matter the weather. They are perfect to travel with, usually only take one skein of yarn, and can be worked on even in the heat of the summer when having a sweater or blanket on your lap would be miserable. Our Hawthorne yarn lines are my favorite; in fact, I can’t remember the last pair I knit that wasn’t in Hawthorne and now we highlight this beautiful yarn in our new collection Toasty Toes!

Sock Knitting Patterns - Toasty Toes Collection

These 12 patterns feature everything from cables to lace to fun textures – some with all 3 styles together! Each is designed to take one skein of either Hawthorne Multi or Hawthorne Kettle (though Hawthorne Speckle will work too!) and will take you some through all the months of year.

Some of my favorites:

Knitting Sock Pattern - Butterfly Garden

The pattern for April, the Butterfly Garden Socks, features a panel of lace from the toes to the ankle, leading to butterfly wings. While I’m not great with lace patterns, I think this is one I could handle. Plus it’s in our Alberta Arts colorway, which is the neighborhood in Portland where I live!

Knitting sock pattern - Busy Bee

The most eye-catching pattern in my opinion is the August pattern – the Busy Bee Socks. This cable heavy pattern features a honeycomb stitch pattern up the foot, ending with a couple of bees hanging out. We chose to knit this one up in the bright yellow Compass, to compliment our bee friends. If you or someone you love is a beekeeper, this is the perfect pattern!

Sock Knitting Pattern - Snowflake Socks

Finally, rounding out the book is our December pattern, Snowflake Socks. This fabulous pattern features a cable of snowflakes that wrap around the sock, perfect for getting you in the mood for snowy winter nights sipping hot cocoa!  We choose to knit these in our Sellwood colorway, but I bet they’d look wonderful in colors such as Hawthorne Kettle Wisp or in Hawthorne Speckle Aquatic.

All of these patterns can be yours, collected together in handy book or as an eBook – or simply download your favorite single pattern for free!

I was very disappointed I missed the first Toasty Toes Kit. I understand you might be putting together another one. When do you you think it might be out? As the first one only was available for about 3 days, I don’t want to miss the next one.
