6 Ways to Wear the Spring Accessories Collection

The countdown to Spring is on and we’ve put together 6 layer-worthy looks featuring our new 2015 Spring Accessories collection. We asked Holly, the Multimedia Manager for Knit Picks, and Dawn, the Project Coordinator for our sister company Connecting Threads, to put together outfits featuring three projects from the Spring Accessories collection by showing off their own personal style.

I love how different and unique each of these looks turned out – and we hope you get inspired to start your own Spring Accessories style. And in the meantime, let’s get things started with the Dahlia Shawl!

PRINTS CHARMING: Spring is just around the corner, which means color will soon be popping up everywhere! Take this cue from nature and add bright colors into your wardrobe mix – try a fun printed dress and dress it up with coordinating accessories for a “spring has sprung” ensemble.

HIGH CONTRAST BLAST: If too much color isn’t your thing, you can still opt for prints: think bold animal prints to get them same ‘oomph without too much color. Layer on more black with a larger (preferably non-black) accessory, like this gorgeous burgundy shawl, to create a look that is ready for a night on the town.

GOLD RUSH : Spring is all about accessories and a simple cowl can add just the right amount of warmth while adding an extra touch of color. For this winning ensemble, stick with bright whites to balance out the brighter pops of gold, pink and yellow.

GOLDEN RATIO: Layer on the graphic prints – simply choose three coordinating shades and then accent the look with a pop color. Black and white is an undeniably classic combo to use as a starting point, and then layer your look from there.

PRETTY IN PLAID: Brunching with friends and strolling around the city calls for an outfit that strikes the perfect balance between comfy, casual and chic. Dress up an ordinary shorts/shirt combo with a fun plaid top, a chunky statement necklace and a colorful hat while a pair of boots will keep you walking all day long.

TEAL APPEAL: Like that final puzzle piece, a colorful accessory can fit together perfectly with a more monochromatic ensemble. Key into one or two colors inspired by your accessory and then layer on small accessories to tie the look together. From a teal bracelet and nail polish to a gold necklace and shoes, you’ll be surprised how far the addition of a few small accessories can go!

Hi Jennifer – both Holly and Dawn used clothes straight out of their own closets to style these outfits. Glad to hear you enjoyed this! 🙂
