Some Pig Dishcloth

I had so much fun making Bear With Me that I knew I had to come up with another animal dishcloth. After some sketching and experimentation, I settled on an adorable pig. I’ve always had a soft spot for pigs ever since I read Charlotte’s Web as a child, so I just had to name this little guy after one of the phrases Charlotte the spider writes in her web about Wilbur, the porcine hero of the book.

Like the bear, Some Pig also uses EZ’s Pi shawl ratio to shape the circle. I recommend making the M1s the way EZ did, by twisting the yarn into a small backwards loop and pulling it snug on the right needle. A quick video tutorial is here.

So cute! I’m almost finished with Bear with Me that I’m giving to my friend’s grandson for Christmas. Now I can make Some Pig for his brother, and include a copy of Charlotte’s Web to go with it. Thank you!

Love, love, love this adorable dish cloth! I am thinking of making this as a gift. I can knit at a decent speed. Any idea how long it would take?
