Free Dishcloth Patterns: House of Clubs & Black Diamond

This week, we have a special treat for you – 2 free dishcloth patterns! Both are by Stana Sortor and finishes up her dishcloth suit of cards series, joining the Queen of Hearts and Ace of Spades! First up, check out the House of Clubs!

The construction on this is similar to the Ace of Spades – start with the stem, work part of the first leaf, work part of the second leaf, then join together. While we did this in Shine Worsted Black, to match the deck of cards, this would also look great in a green such as Peapod or Macaw, for a variation on a clover St Patrick’s Day!

Next up, is Black Diamond!

This fun seed stitch pattern is knit on the bias, increasing 2 stitches every other row for the first half, decreasing on the second half. While Stana opted to make this a black diamond, as opposed to the playing card red diamond, there’s no reason you can’t do it in red! We’d suggest Serrano to match the Queen of Hearts. Or maybe you have an avid skier you need a quick gift for – inspire them to try those black diamond slopes!

Can’t wait to see those full sets of card suit dishcloths!
