Free Chevron Stripes Dishcloth

Welcome to Week 47 of our Clean & Crafty Free Pattern series! The chevron stitch is one of my all time favorite for projects – my Dreamy Waves Scarf has a variation of a chevron. For dishcloths, it gives a visual interest, especially when combined with blocks of color like in the Chevron Stripes Dishcloth.

This pattern, designed by Ann Weaver, starts with a a seed stitch border to help it lay flat, then moves into the main pattern. Since it’s only a 2 row stitch pattern, it’s easy to memorize and the color changes help keep things moving. Most striking of all is the one row color change in the middle of the contrast color, which makes the waves stand out more. Match the colors of your kitchen using Dishie or swap in Dishie Multi for a more colorful dishcloth. Personally, I think with the holidays on the way, I’d mix Dishie Multi’s Jingle with Dishie Fiesta Red and Jalapeno for the ultimate Christmas project!
