Free Checkerboard Dishcloth Pattern from Knit Picks

This fun pattern by Allison Griffith uses simple knits and purls to create a wonderful texture that is perfect for your dishcloth needs. Starting from the bottom with a garter border, the checkerboard stitch pattern is easy to memorize. If you are new to reading charts, this is a great pattern to start with, as there are only 2 stitches/symbols to keep track of. Best of all, the dishcloth is completely reversible!

Looking to give your kitchen dishcloths a kick of color? Check out our cheerful Pinata Dishie Value Pack, which includes 5 full-sized balls of Dishie (Azure, Mulberry, Jalepeno, Begonia, and Creme Brulee) for only $13.45. With these colors, you’ll be ready for all your summer entertaining!

I hate to bring this to your attention but the chart on the pattern download seems to be incorrect. I tried it and had to frog my work and work out what was wrong. The moss stitch panels do not seem to be reflected by the chart – I am not brilliant with charts but there does seem to be an error. However, I do love your dishcloth patterns and am steadily making my way through them; thanks for sharing them.
