For the love of cables

Have you seen our newest collection?

Cable Knitting: Woodsmoke Collection. www.knitpicks.com

This gorgeous collection is for all the cable lovers out there. I am certainly one of them! When it comes to techniques, cables have always been my favorite – I find them fun to knit and love watching each twist and turn as they climb up my project. Woodsmoke is a dream come true for cable enthusiasts with 16 patterns ranging from easy to challenging. If you are new to cables or need a bit of a refresher, we have some great tutorials to get you started!

For the beginner, we have a learn to cable video which explains the basics of cable knitting, including how to read charts and some easy cables to get you started.

We also have a video dealing with closed cables, you can see them in Woodsmoke‘s Hex Blanket. Our tutorial shows you how to work these unique and interesting cables!

For those wanting to expand their cable horizons, we have a class on creating multiple crossing cables – where more than one cable crosses over the others. It gives a great 3 dimensional look to your projects!

A technique I’ve always found very helpful is cabling without a needle. We don’t have a video for it as of yet, but we do have a picture tutorial that walks you through the steps here: Cabling without a needle

With our collection of cable tutorials, you’ll be ready to get started on your fun cabling adventure with Woodsmoke! Also, be sure to check out our other cable collections – Celtic Journey and Heartwood!

I am wondering what Swish color the Eide pullover is in. I’m really interested in knitting it, but what color is it? It’s so perfect!
