Book Giveaway – Knitting at Home

I think I’m just obsessed with coziness right now – I’m working on three different knit and crochet blankets, making throw pillows for our couch, and hunting around for the perfect pair of slippers.

I don’t know if you’ve seen Knitting at Home yet, but it’s perfect for fueling any Must Get Warm At Any Cost feelings you might be having this holiday season.  Even when my kitchen sink is full of dirty party dishes and the laundry is out of control, this book allows me to escape into a world of snuggly throws, hot cups of tea, and afternoons curled up on the couch.

We bought our first house last March, and there’s a corner in the living room that’s just begging for some beautiful floor cushions.  This floor pillow is one of my favorite projects in this book – it’s knit in worsted weight yarn with some minimal intarsia (only the grey and dark blue) and then the cute details are added by embroidering running stitches, chain stitches, and french knots in little pops of color.

This felted ottoman cover could go near the couch for my slipper-clad feet.  Our colors are brighter, cobalt walls with colorful accent pillows, and I could either double-strand Palette or use Wool of the Andes depending on which color scheme I pick.

We had these little birds knit up for a later catalog, and when they arrived in the office I started plotting ways for them to end up in my craft room, hanging from a hook near my sewing machine so I can enjoy them while I’m working.

We have two copies of Knitting at Home to give away.  For a chance to win, leave a comment on this post!  I’ll draw
names using a random number generator on Friday, December 17th.  Good
luck!
