Autumn News: Fall comes to the High Desert

Happy Fall’idays, fiber friends!

We’ve reached peak gift-knitting season and things don’t appear to be slowing down for us anytime soon. Oversized cowls, colorwork mitts, and cuddly toys are on our loved ones’ wish lists this year, so we better put the kettle on and get to it. But first, here’s the latest in knit-related news!

High Desert – new colors & put up!

Taking inspiration from an autumnal treeline dotted with Aspens, Red Oak, and Paper Birch, our latest color additions to the High Desert family come from the warm end of the color spectrum, rounding out the earthy chromatic range of this all-American artisanal yarn line. Not only do we have new colors to offer, but now feature this 100% All-American grown and spun Merino and Merino/Rambouillet wool in 50g hanks, in both Sport & Worsted weights.

New Knits

Inspired by the rugged environment of the high desert plains of the Pacific Northwest, these 12 timeless accessories and garments will work just as well in the city, the woods, or any other chilly setting! This 100% wool collection is packed with beautiful colorwork, eye-catching cables, and cozy texture, all a great fit for High Desert, our first American grown, dyed, and spun yarn. The collection was proudly photographed on the Shaniko Wool Company ranch in Central Oregon.

Fall ‘Fluff

Acorns, chestnuts, gingko leaves, and honeycomb—that’s what we think of when we’re knitting up these fun fall colors. These 4 new shades of Wonderfluff have us dreaming of pillowy-soft cowls and hats to bundle up for our nature walks.

Our favorite thing about the 4 new colors of Wonderfluff Ombré? Automatic color changes that are subtle and sophisticated. No extra ends to weave end? Yes, please!
