Free Present Dishcloth

Welcome to Week 50 of our Clean & Crafty Free Pattern series! Need a little something extra for your holiday packages this year? This week’s free dishcloth pattern would look adorable adorning any gifts – check out the Present Dishcloth.

Free Present Dishcloth from Knit Picks

Designed by Allyson Dykhuizen, this sweet project is a great way to practice two fun knitting techniques. First you’ll be doing some light intarsia – the main color (in this case, CotLin Eggplant) is split in to two separate balls. When starting, you’ll be knitting from one of the main color balls, then the contrast color (CotLin Whisper), then the second main color ball, all in the same row. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be flying. The other technique is easy – the I-Cord (or as it’s also know as – the Idiot Cord).  Once the main portion is complete, you’ll create an 18″ I-Cord to tie the whole thing up in a bow. This cute project is easy to color customize to match your wrapping paper – and to be honest, looks much nicer than my wrapped gifts!
