Podcast Call for Entries: Designer CRUSH

crush

Is there one designer you really love? Have you knit too many of their designs to even count? If you have what we’re calling a “designer crush”, total admiration and love for a knitwear/crochet designer, let us know! You could get to talk to that designer for an upcoming podcast, and ask her/him the questions on your mind. Email us at podcast@knitpicks.com. We’d love to hear from you!

Stephanie Dosen! How can you NOT be in love with the Hexipuffs for the Beekeeper’s Quilt? I’m working on her Meow Mitts right meow 🙂

Ysolda Teague. Hands down. Lol, my knitting buddies all tease me about the fact hat I’m constantly referencing her blog posts and techniques in everyday conversation. I can’t help it, though. She’s my age, I’ve followed her blog from before she published her first book and it’s just been so inspiring to watch her develop as a designer and person. She gives me hope that I can do the same thing, too. ^_^

I just posted about a new designer I discovered but in answer to your question “Is there one designer you really love” – that would be Sandra Paul at http://sandra-cherryheart.blogspot.ca/
I am always totally captivated by her designs, her use of color, and how she uses motifs to create gorgeous, practical items.

Actually, I just came across a designer that I had not known until this week and I love her sweater patterns. Her name is Kat Goldin – http://www.slugsontherefrigerator.com/

I am really in love with this “Soft Grey Cardigan” – http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/soft-grey-cardigan

It is a gorgeous Men’s sweater in Tunisian crochet – it’s coming out in her newest book soon called “Hook, Stitch & Give.”
