This fun pattern from designer Donna Barranti makes use of the star stitch and shades of red, wine and black to create a gingham pattern. This is sure to catch everyone’s eye this holiday season! While we used Brava Sport to create a washable version, this would also look excellent in Wool of the Andes Sport for a more traditional blanket and pillow set that will keep you toasty warm when the cold winds start to blow.

    I noticed there is another color mentioned for the pillow border-Asphalt Heather. It’s referred to as “A.” It’s not mentioned in the materials list. How much do we need?

      I previously downloaded the caterpillar shawlette, and started knitting it. Today being such a nice day went outside to knit. When a friend came I put the knitting, pattern, and equipment on a chair and went inside not realizing the household pets were also outside. When went to gather up stuff found that the pets had also had fun. The pattern was in shreds the yarn stretched all thru the plants. Evidently when I first downloaded the pattern I didn’t save it, just printed. So was happy to see your post and find the pattern (Won’t mention I’d spent 2 hours searching, looking for it on KnitPicks website) Thanks
